I Wish I was Partying in Spain!!
It has been reported that the Newest Sports Superpower, Spain, is still celebrating its Super-status as World Cup Soccer Champions and Tennis Powerhouse- producing a list of top tennis players led by 2008 French Open and Wimbledon Champion Rafael Nadal.

Knowing how Spaniards party, they are still partying about this. In fact, I would not be surprised if the country is on a national holiday right now- in order to adequately celebrate how awesome their long-haired men can play sports.

And lets face it. These long-haired men can play sports!…and party,..and pursue women all at the same time. Most contemporary American men cannot seem to fit all three qualities into the same package.


The character breakdown goes something like this: Ameri-dudes are either Sporto, Party-boy, Pretty-boy, or Ladies Man. Sporto typically does not wear long hair, or have a way with women. Party-boy usually only watches sports, and is too fucked up on drugs to pursue a lady, or dress up and comb his hair. Pretty-boys in America are mostly gay, and do not play soccer, and lastly, a most rare and dying breed…the American Ladies Man: is so obvious in intention.. and in the most need of long hair, because he usually has none... and is dressed poorly.

In fact, baldness on men has been en vogue in the US now for 3 years or so? I guess it works for dudes with a “less is more” strategy. The Spaniards do not play voluntary baldness. The American Olympic committee is currently looking into a connection between long hair and the success of the Spanish National Athletic Program. The hypothesis is: Athletes wearing long hair pulled back in a bandana have more all-around game then athletes wearing short hair and a baseball cap. Headband retailers and hair care product companies are anxiously awaiting the results of the US Olympic Committee's research- which is currently being conducted at an undisclosed location.
