Kennedy Endorsement of Obama: A Favorable Omen?

The recent endorsement of Ted Kennedy to the campaign of Barack Obama has Hillary Clinton’s camp relieved.. “Bill, you pissed Ted off, good boy.” Hillary was overheard saying at a recent convention. The Clinton camp strategy was executed perfectly as Hillary is well aware, that a Kennedy endorsement is a political kiss of death.

“Assassination is still alive in well in politics,” according to Clinton strategist, Alan Vicksburg. “We just saw a female candidate in Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, taken out of an election in a motorcade by a sniper. Does that sound familiar Ted Kennedy? Why would we want your endorsement when at least 4 of your family members (John, Robert, John Jr.and Caroline Bessette) have shown an inability to Survive American Politics?"

“Magic Johnson is a survivor. Can you believe he has had HIV this long? That’s the kind of representation the Clinton camp is in favor of. Athletes generally have the power to fight back under pressure and withstand physical challenges. This is the type of example we want to reintroduce to America,” says Clinton political strategist, Carrie Winter. “This is where the Obama camp might falter because of a lack of experience, History has shown time and time again- it’s a terrible risk to any politician to have a direct descendant of the Kennedy family support his/her political movement.”
